Bruce, a 6-year-old child with prosthetic legs was highly fascinated by the soccer game.

Always wanted to be a part of the soccer team in his school. But always hesitated because of his prosthetic legs. His father on the other hand was confident that his son would achieve greater heights despite of his prosthetic legs. He used to always go with Bruce in the stadium and sit there while Bruce tried to play. Bruce could not stand for a longer time and used to always fall. He did not give his best thinking that he has enough time in his life to practice. Worried about his behavior, his father once took him closer and asked, “Tell me son, what is the biggest mistake we do as humans?” Bruce thought for a while but was not able to get to any conclusion. “No daddy, I am not able to think of any…Can you tell me?”, asked Bruce. “Sure…The biggest mistake a human being does in life is he thinks that he has enough “time” in life. Listen to me son, there is no tomorrow...its your today that changes your tomorrow.”, explained his father.

These words of his father definitely made Bruce understand that its today that changes your tomorrow. So, he started practicing day and night for that one thing which he wanted desperately in his life. There was a coach of the soccer team of school. He saw Bruce’s efforts and decided to give a chance to Bruce to play soccer with the team. Bruce was very happy. But, since then, Bruce did not show his face for a week. The coach wondered…

One fine morning, when there was match between 2 cities, Bruce came to his coach and requested him to let him play with the team. The coach refused saying that he had not show for a week and might have lost touch. But, when Bruce insisted a lot, the coach decided to give him a chance to prove himself. Bruce played with the team and that day was his best shot that he gave and their team won.

The coach was surprised to see him play like that. he asked him, “I never saw you playing like that, how did you do that?” “That’s because my father is watching me today.”, replied Bruce. The coach moved around the stadium but could not see Bruce’s father. “I could not see him, but he always used to come here, at that time you never played the way you played today”, said the coach curiously. “Because my father was blind and he is no more in this world. He passed away 6 days ago. Now I understood why my father always told me that there is no tomorrow, you yourself make your tomorrow.”, said Bruce with tears in his eyes.

Choose to spend your time wisely because, time is not money, time is much more than money….
